Child Welfare Business & Fiscal Analyst is responsible for ensuring that there is compliance between the programmatic and fiscal functions related to Child Protective Services and Foster Care. This mission is carried out by leading the Child Welfare Budget Team that includes employees that are both program and fiscal staff and by supervising administrative and technical staff.
Duties for this valuable position include: - Assisting in the development and coordination of the annual budget and business plan in conjunction with the Wake County Services Finance Team
- Monitoring the regular reporting of revenues and expenditures which includes staff allocation of time to revenue streams
- Managing the revenue process related to foster care board payments, procurement of resources, interfacing with the non-profit community and establishing vendor relationships with businesses
- Developing policies and protocols related to Child Welfare resources and fiscal matters
- Monitoring internal programs, grants, contracts and external agency compliance with regulations and contracts

The Basics (Required Education and Experience) - Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field
- Two years of experience in administration
- Equivalent education and experience are accepted

Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience) - Experience managing social service budgets, expenditures and revenues, and contracts
- Experience in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to do cost benefit analysis
- Competency with North Carolina State Child Welfare Revenue Reports including DSS 1572 and program codes, 5094 foster care tracking and child payment reporting form and DSS PQA reports
