    Job Location: This position will be located at Rolla Satellite office, 105 Fairgrounds Road, Rolla, MO.

As a member of the Incident Management Team, you contribute to the Division initiatives.

    • Gathers and analyzes information surrounding reported events or complaints where there is an allegation or suspicion of abuse, neglect, misuse of funds or property, or when more information is needed to determine whether an investigation request will be submitted to DD Central Office Investigation Unit.

    • Conducts inquiry interviews, summarize, and communicate findings in a written format and maintains all current and accurate documentation of those inquiries. Completes inquiries within 10 working days, unless for good cause shown additional time is needed. Summarize inquiry findings for the purpose of requesting an investigation when needed.

    • Completes notifications within required timeframes and in writing where required, and enters the notifications into the EMT databas system.

    • Monitor events where there is an inquiry decision to enure closure or reason for extension is recorded, using reports available.

    • Determines whether “reasonable cause” for abuse/neglect/misuse of funds exists through the inquiry process.

    • Enters inquiry findings and outcomes into the Event Management System (EMT) accurately. Ensures that the EMT data entry form is completed and that data is correctly entered within 24 hours or by the next working day of DMH notification for those events requiring an inquiry. Enter the inquiry decision date and close date into the EMT database system for those events requiring an inquiry.

    • Provide guidance and resources to the team of Specialists to identify solutions when problems arise. Monitor overall work performance to ensure accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and compliance with CSRs, DORs, Division Directives, and Division Guidelines. Foster an open environment for the exchange of ideas by being open to differing opinions and ideas. Make timely and consistent decisions and communicate those to team members in a clear manner. Complete weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to document team performance and address situations that need to be improved in a timely fashion. Recommend and conduct training for staff of new processes and ongoing enhancements.



    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Six years of experience or a Bachelor’s degree and three or more years' experience or an Associates' degree with four to eight years of experience preferred. Experience in gathering and analyzing information related to abuse, neglect, misuse of funds or property. Experience conducting inquiry interviews, summarizing and communicating findings. Investigation skills preferred. Supervisory experience preferred; must be proficient in excel and power point.
    • Training, certification, and/or education in continuous process improvement programs such as Lean Six Sigma as well as completion of Missouri Way, Leadership Academy, or similar programs is preferred.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to manage, organize and collaborate across multiple projects.
    • Ability to work closely with others and problem-solve complex issues.
    • Ability to interpret and apply regulations, agency policies, and procedures related to abuse and neglect.
    • Training, certification, and/or education in continuous process improvement programs such as Lean Six Sigma as well as completion of Missouri Way, Leadership Academy, or similar programs is preferred.
