OverviewThe Clerk and Recorder's Office is hiring temporary Election Judges! Election Judges ensure that elections are accurate, secure, and transparent. They serve at Voter Service and Polling Centers (VSPCs) throughout Larimer County, at the Larimer County Counting Facility, or at our Elections Office to assist voters and to perform data entry and ballot transport, scanning, receiving, and counting. https://www.larimer.gov/clerk/elections/judges Most Election Judges work full-time and begin working anywhere from a few days up to a few weeks before and immediately after Election Day. Weekend work is required for many assignments, and Election Judges must be available each day during their assignment. For the 2024 General Election, assignments are available in Fort Collins, Loveland, Estes Park, Berthoud, Laporte, Red Feather Lakes, Timnath and Wellington.

- Greet and assist voters
- Register voters
- Issue ballots
- Activate voting sessions on electronic ballot-marking devices
- Deliver ballots to Healthcare Facilities
- Transport ballot boxes and supplies
- Work in the Elections Office performing data entry and answering phones
- Receive, sort, and prepare ballot envelopes for counting
- Verify signatures of electors on mail ballot envelopes
- Process ballots through optical scanners

- Performing tasks in a busy and stressful environment
- Working a long day on Election Day with few breaks (approximately 14 hours)
- Follow very specific directions and abide by legal requirements completely
- Have knowledge of computers and be able to learn to use the Statewide voter registration system (includes accurately searching, inputting, and retrieving data)
QualificationsAll candidates will be screened for the following required minimum qualifications. Any candidate who does not meet all of the qualifications listed as required will be eliminated from the process.
- Be a United States Citizen
- Be a Registered Voter in Colorado
- Not have been convicted of election fraud, any other election offenses, or fraud
- Not a candidate or related to a candidate on the ballot
- Ability to work two to three weeks prior to election day (must be available all days) OR able to work on election day only (Election Day is a minimum of a 14-hour day)
- Ballot Transfer Teams require a valid Driver's license
