Central Registry Unit (CRU) Supervisor

The Adult Protective Services Central Registry Unit is seeking individuals who are committed to high quality work and enjoy a challenging, fast-paced, and progressive team environment. This is professional supervisory social service work directing the activities of staff responsible for providing protective services on behalf of seniors and/or disabled adults.

• Supervises and directs the activities of staff responsible for intake at the Central Registry Unit.
• Coordinates and evaluates the activities of staff; conducts interviews; provides training and guidance; monitors performance and workloads; follows disciplinary procedures when needed.
• Provides support and guidance to all staff on a daily basis as needed.
• Assures intake procedures are followed and calls are handled within agency requirements.
• Conducts periodic team meetings and individual conferences to apprise staff of new and revised policies and procedures, discusses complex cases and workload issues, and obtains staff input and feedback.
• Provides administrative support and assistance to management.
• Handles complaints from multiple sources in an effort to provide resolution and overall customer satisfaction.
• Exercises significant independence and initiative in the performance of responsibilities; follow all DHSS policies and procedures including administrative direction.
• Maintains positive working relationships with providers, other state agencies, DHSS staff, and other community stakeholders.
• Produces daily and weekly reports on Central Registry Unit activities as well as monitoring automated reports for any trends or issues.
• Participates in supervisory conferences to discuss workload issues, new policies and procedures, and obtain supervisory feedback.

Primary hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with one hour lunch. On-Call hours are 5:00 - 8:00, Monday - Friday and 7:00 am - 8:00, Saturday and Sunday.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Three or more years of experience as an Adult Protective & Community Worker, Children’s Service Worker, and/or Long-Term Care Specialist with the Missouri Uniform Classification and Pay System, OR
• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work or a closely related field,(Substitution may be allowed) AND
• Three or more years of professional experience in criminal, civil or administrative investigations and/or the delivery or coordination of social, protective, medical, mental health, or rehabilitative services for senior or disabled adults, children, or families in a public or private agency, OR
• A Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work or a closely related field and one or more years of professional experience.
