    The Job

    San Bernardino County Land Use Services Department is seeking an Organizational Development Analyst* to play a crucial role in enhancing department effectiveness by analyzing and improving workforce planning and development initiatives.

    Primary duties include:
    • Analyze Staffing Needs: Collaborate with leadership to assess current and future workforce requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
    • Recruitment Coordination: Partner with Human Resources and Hiring Managers to facilitate recruitment and selection processes.
    • Organizational Development: Develop and deliver training programs that empower employees and enhance their skills, fostering a culture of growth and engagement.
    • Data-Driven Insights: Leverage analytics to monitor staffing trends and organizational effectiveness, providing actionable insights to inform strategic decisions.
    • Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure all practices align with relevant laws and regulations, while staying updated on industry trends and best practices.

    CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

    Travel throughout the County is required. Employees will be required to make provisions for transportation and may be required to use personal vehicles (mileage reimbursement is available). At the time of hire, a valid California Class C driver license and proof of automobile liability insurance must be produced and maintained for the individual providing the transportation.

    Pre-Employment: Candidates selected for this position must pass a background investigation and medical examination including drug screening; candidate selected for law enforcement departments, public safety positions, or positions where legally required, must pass a more stringent background check.

    Sponsorship: San Bernardino County is not able to consider candidates who will require visa sponsorship at the time of application or in the future. Candidates must be able to present their legal right to work in the United States at the time of employment.

    Minimum Requirements

    Candidates must possess BOTH the required experience AND education to qualify.

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
    Two (2) years of full-time equivalent professional level experience in organizational development analysis, workforce planning, or personnel management.
    REQUIRED EDUCATION:
    A completed Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public/business administration, behavioral/social science, human resources, or other relevant field of study.

    Desired Qualifications

    The ideal candidate will possess:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in staffing and organizational development roles.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data effectively.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration across teams.
