    Role

    Ideal candidate will have previous custodial and supervisory experience.

    This position is based in Prescott and requires weekly travel to various County buildings throughout Yavapai County.

    Under general supervision, oversees daily work schedules and supervises assigned staff in specific areas relating to custodial services. Directly works on special and large projects alongside staff and assists in the completion of and in the assuring quality of work.

    Major Duties, Responsibilities

    • Oversees custodial services in County facilities. Directly works with crews on special projects and larger projects that require multiple custodians or crews to complete. Fills in for absent custodians to ensure manpower shortages are covered. Schedules, supervises, and evaluates assigned staff.
    • Manages schedules for all daily custodial services for all county buildings; works closely with the Custodial Manager on creating and assigning those schedules and following up on their completion. Includes ensuring services provided meet county standards for quality.
    • Provides training for custodians to ensure uniform compliance of procedures in floor, carpet, and window care; trains staff in safety compliance; attends training seminars to stay current on changing developments in the industry.
    • Manages inventory of all needed custodial supplies; works with the Custodial Manager on bid processes and procurement procedures.
    • Completes routine maintenance/repairs on custodial equipment.
    • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.


    Minimum Qualifications

    Education:
    High school diploma or equivalent.

    Experience:
    A minimum of four (4) years of experience in building custodial services to include one (1) year of experience in a supervisory capacity.

    Additional Requirements:
    Must possess a valid Arizona driver’s license.
