    Salary Range: $50,800 - $61,000

    General Description and Classification Standards:

    Performs semi-skilled work involving the operation and maintenance of vehicles and equipment. Duties may include running diagnostic tests on vehicles, completing work requests, performing fleet management tasks, reporting, and maintaining equipment which includes tow trucks, forklifts, battery power packs, auto code scanners, key cutters and other equipment used in the daily operation of the garage.

    Supervision Received:

    Works under direct supervision and follows standard procedures and written instructions to accomplish assigned tasks.

    Education and Experience:
    • Completion of a one (1) year technical or vocational course of study in the appropriate area.
    • One (1) year of experience in general automotive and collision repair.

    Licensures and Certifications:

    Valid State of Georgia Driver’s License or CDL License or the ability to obtain a CDL License within six (6) months.

    Preferred Requirements:

    Three (3) years’ experience in general automotive and collision repair. ASE Certified Mechanic in general automotive repair and collision.

    Work Environment:

    Required physical, lifting, and sensory capabilities are requirements to perform the job successfully. Typically, the job will require working outside subject to environmental conditions and inside the office.

    Lifting Requirements:

    Heavy work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
