    The Fixed Asset Manager creates and manages complex accounting records of county fixed assets through the Financial Management system, utilizing purchasing and accounts payable documentation, the intra-site data base, and correspondence with County departments. This position prepares and reconciles monthly accounting reports of capital purchase additions by research of budget reports, accounts payable records, invoices and associated documentation.

    Examples of Duties

    Schedules, organizes, and performs on-site physical verification of County's assets, download scanned information or manually input into Financial Management system, follow up on discrepancies, prepares reports and documentation.
    Initiates, organizes, and administers sale of county surplus and salvage property: make recommendations, schedule with departments coordinating transfer of items to location for sale, takes pictures, writes specifications, and prepares electronic documents for auctioneer for on line auctions.
    Prepares and processes forms for titles, license plates and various registrations.
    Applies for alias registration when necessary on seized vehicles or current County vehicles that will be used under alias registration.
    Submits work orders for relocation of all items that need to go to surplus for sale in online auctions.
    Updates the Financial System and the Risk Manager with added, deleted, and transferred vehicles for insurance purposes.
    Prepares specifications for Commissioners Court for online auctions and for the auctioneer.
    Prepares revenue analysis for Commissioners Court, Treasurer, and Auditor.
    Researches asset records as needed to support Director in inventory analysis.
    Prepares training material and train County personnel on policy and online inventory accountability system.
    Prepares transfer of titles for sold or wrecked vehicles or equipment.
    Regular and punctual attendance is required.
    Performs other related duties as required.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Associate's degree in related field and a minimum three years of experience in a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
