    Summary

    This position is designed to provide administrative support to departments within the city when there are position vacancies, leave of absences, and special projects, on an as needed basis . The candidates must be able to provide front line customer service support and provide administrative support such as filing, order and inventory office supplies, copying, faxing, and email correspondence .

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    This position requires an applicant with phone skills to meet high call volume. Must be computer literate and have a working knowledge of Microsoft office software. Excellent verbal, written, math, organizational, and interpersonal skills required. Position requires self-motivation, good problem solving skills, and positive attitude in assisting citizens and staff. Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, complete tasks accurately and consistently, and work closely with others in a team environment. Reliability, flexibility and good attendance are a must. Minimum typing speed of 30 wpm net and passing scores for skills testing on filing, basic excel and customer service.

    Education and/or Experience

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
