    The MO HealthNet Division has an opening for a Benefit Program Senior Specialist within the Clinical Program and Policy Unit located in Cole County.

    Semi-monthly salary: $2,020.69

    Job Location: This position is located at the Howerton State Office Building; 615 Howerton Court, Jefferson City, MO.

    The Department of Social Services partners with families and communities to protect children, rehabilitate youth and move families to self-sufficiency so that Missourians can lead safe, healthy and productive lives.

    Why you’ll love this position: The person in this position will work with a dedicated team of employees while gaining new and valuable skills. This is an independent and responsible position that will assist in oversight of the Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT), Hearing Aid, Optical, and other MO HealthNet programs as assigned.

    • Assist in development and interpreting policy/procedure guidelines, laws, rules/regulations to improve program efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Assist with oversight of assigned programs through monitoring of reports, claims, and inquiries.
    • Research and resolve assigned legislative inquiries.
    • Monitor participant and provider complaints to ensure resolution.
    • Update provider manuals when policy is implemented, changed, or requires clarification.
    • Process public entity invoices and performance measures/withholdings for NEMT Program
    • Attend state fair hearings.
    • Review and process consultant invoices.
    • Review and process claims for overrides and manual pricing.
    • Review and process prior authorizations and requests for change.


    Minimum Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
    • Ability to communicate complex ideas, plans, procedures, and programs.
    • Self-motivated with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Relevant experience with policy and interpretation.
