Department of Public Health (DPH) is recruiting for
Registered Nurses (RN) I and RN II- Clinic- Public Health* who provide direct patient care in Public Health Clinics. Duties include assisting physicians, nurse practitioners, and other medical/nursing staff by performing a variety of activities such as taking patient histories; providing patient follow up; performing screening tests; drawing blood; administering prescribed treatment and medication; auditing services of licensed and unlicensed personnel; assessing the need for and providing immunization injections; and instructing, educating, and counseling patients on a variety of health care and medical topics.

Registered Nurse I - Clinic (Trainee) Nurses Group 11: $65,104.00 - $82,867.20 Annually
Registered Nurse II - Clinic Nurses Group 7: $79,497.60 - $118,788 annually*
*Annual salary includes longevity pay, please refer to CNA- MOU for longevity pay eligibility

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Travel/Driver License: Travel throughout the county is required. Employees will be required to make provision for transportation. At the time of hire, a valid California Class C driver license and proof of automobile liability insurance must be produced for the individual providing the transportation.
Pre-Employment Process: Prior to appointment, applicants must pass a background investigation which includes verification of employment history and education, fingerprinting, physical exam, and drug screening
Visa Sponsorship: Please note San Bernardino County is not able to consider candidates who will require visa sponsorship at the time of application or in the future.
Continued Education: Additional training/coursework may be required.
Trainee: RN I - Clinic: must be promoted to journey-level classification, RN II - Clinic , upon successful completion of the trainee period (e.g., preceptorship, orientation, and/or certification, as applicable), or be terminated. Refer to the MOU for additional information.
Minimum RequirementsRN I and RN II applicants must meet all of the following licensure/certification requirements:
Licensure: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing (CA BRN).
Certification: Valid Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate (Course Completion Card) issued by the American Heart Association.
RN II applicants must also possess the following experience requirement:
Experience: Six (6) months of full-time equivalent experience performing duties as a licensed RN.
Desired QualificationsIf you possess a Master's degree in Nursing and experience with Microsoft Office and electronic medical records programs we strongly encourage you to apply!

Additional compensation is associated with positions requiring the use of bilingual skills. Testing of bilingual skills may be required to receive additional compensation.
