- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the Commission.
- Oversee three assistant directors who are accountable for three distinct disciplines (compliance, administration, and enforcement) within the Commission.
- Work closely with the assistant directors to facilitate the Commission’s objectives.
- Supervise the disciplinary process for gaming licenses, including individuals, casinos, parent corporations, and other key business entities.
- Interact with all levels of Commission staff, other government agencies, gaming licensees, and the public.
- Participate in the legislative process and provide detailed and accurate information on the Commission’s budget and agency functions.
Qualifications: - An undergraduate degree from an accredited college/university is required (extensive upper-level management experience may be substituted).
Desired Skills: - An advanced degree.
- Five plus years of senior management or leadership experience, experience in governmental agencies, and extensive knowledge of the gaming industry.
- Strong oral and written communication, organization, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to exercise independent judgment, balance competing demands, prioritize resources, and manage and mitigate risks to the Commission.
