    Job Summary

    Reviews preliminary building construction plans to ensure compliance with the City of Orlando's Land Development Codes and other applicable codes, ordinances, or standards in assigned areas of responsibilities (such as new and existing residential or commercial buildings), with knowledge of transportation impact fee, sewer impact fee, parks impact fee, and school impact fee programs. Explains reasons for approval or disapproval. Performs other related duties as assigned. Work is performed under close supervision until sufficient experience and knowledge is gained to work under general supervision.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology, Business, or related field and two (2) years experience in construction, permitting, planning, drafting, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

    If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:
    • Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
    • Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
    • Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
    • Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
