Job Summary Salary:
$38.88 - $48.40 (depending on experience)
Performs professional-level work involving the management of construction and design scheduling within the Capital Improvements Plan Division for the City of Orlando. Manages the timely completion of pre-construction and construction activities, such as assistance with procurement and schedule development. Manages complex special projects for the Department and Division beginning with modernization of the City’s Capital Improvements processes to include on-boarding of Division/Department-wide enterprise resource planning software. Performs other tasks as needed or assigned. Work is performed under the supervision of the Division Manager and Assistant Division Manager. Work is reviewed during biweekly meetings and periodic on-site visits.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field and a minimum of four years (4) experience in the area of construction, project management, or process management; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Valid Florida Driver's License required. Project or process management software experience desired.
This is a full-time CONTRACT position with the same benefits as Regular full-time. Most contracts are renewable for terms of one year. If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:
- Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
- Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
- Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
- Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
