    Job Summary

    Job Description

    Performs technical and skilled plumbing work with responsibility for repairing, servicing, and installing water, sewer, and water heating systems and fixtures. Supervision may be exercised over subordinate services and trade personnel. Work is performed under the supervision of a trades supervisor. Work reviewed while in progress and upon completion through inspection, observation, and results obtained.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Plumber I - High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate and two (2) years plumbing experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Valid Florida Driver's License required.

    Plumber II - High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate and four (4) years plumbing experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Valid Florida Driver's License required. Florida Journey Level Plumbing License required for hire/promotion to Plumber II.

    THIS IS A PART_TIME_POSITION WITH NO GUARENTEE OF A CERTAIN NUMBER OF HOURS AND NO BENEFITS. THIS POSITION INVOLVES WORKING ON A TEMP/SEASONAL CONTRACT WHICH CAN BE RENEWED ANNUALLY BASED ON PERFORMANCE AND BUSINESS NEEED.

    If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:
    • Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
    • Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
    • Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
    • Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
