    Job Description Summary:

Join the Jeffco Business & Workforce Center as our new Business and Industry Coordinator. This role is critical in driving strategic partnerships, managing workforce board administration, and enhancing workforce initiatives that improve employment outcomes in our community. You’ll work closely with local, regional, and state business leaders and workforce development partners to build systems that support a more inclusive, diverse, and equitable workforce for Colorado.

    Job Description:
    As the Business and Industry Coordinator, you will have a multifaceted role that combines project management, marketing, and administrative support for the workforce development board. You’ll work with both private and public partners, coordinating efforts to promote sustainable workforce initiatives and support the workforce board in its administrative operations. This is a hands-on role where you can bring ideas to life and make a real impact

    Schedule :

    This position is a hybrid role with a typical schedule Monday - Thursday and a half day Friday , 40 hours/ week .

    S alary:

    Hiring Range: $24- $ 27 Hourly

    Compensation will be determined based on education, experience, and skills.

    Essential Duties :

    Project Coordination

    • Oversee and schedule sector partnership meetings, including logistics , location arrangements, and attendee communications.


    • Coordinate planning calls with business leaders and other stakeholders.


    • Track project progress and hold partners accountable for timely task completion.


    • Create, distribute, and update meeting agendas, summaries, and action items.


    Stakeholder Engagement and Communication

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for both business and public partners.


    • Maintain and distribute written action plans and updates.


    • Network with local workforce programs, chambers, and agencies to identify new partners.


    Marketing and Outreach

    • Develop strategies to recruit additional partners and increase engagement in sector partnerships.


    • Represent the Jeffco Business & Workforce Center at events to raise awareness of workforce and partnership initiatives.


    • Work with business leaders to communicate partnership successes and encourage broader community involvement.


    Facilitation and Strategic Support

    • Lead meetings to help business leaders define priorities, develop agendas, and turn plans into action without imposing an agenda.


    • Facilitate discussions that keep meetings productive and aligned with goals.


    • Provide support to workforce board operations by preparing reports, summarizing meeting outcomes, and managing board communications.


    Administrative Support for Workforce Development Board

    • Coordinate all administrative functions for the workforce development board, including scheduling board meetings and managing agendas, minutes, and reports.


    • Track board action items, distribute materials, and ensure timely follow-up on board decisions.


    • Compile and manage data and documents for board review, assisting with grant reporting and compliance tracking.


    • Maintain records and ensure accurate documentation of board activities for audit and reporting purposes.

    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and confidence in public speaking.


    • Ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of partners.


    • Experience with, scheduling, and records management.


    • Enthusiasm for innovation and a commitment to community impact.


    • High attention to detail and critical thinking skills.

    Minimal Qualifications :

    • Bachelor’s degree, and


    • 3 year s of work-related experience.


    • Or an equivalent combination of education & experience.


    Preferred Qualifications :

    • Proven experience in project management, including managing timelines, contracts, and deliverables.


    • Strong scheduling, meeting preparation, and records management skills.


    • Proficiency in facilitation and event-planning.


    • Background in business development and stakeholder engagement is beneficial.


    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


    • Demonstrated initiative, resilience, and adaptability.


    • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow up tasks effectively.


    • Proficiency in coordinating meetings, agendas, and electronic data management.


    • Comfortable and experience working with technology, including AV equipment, virtual meeting platforms, PowerPoint, Excel, and Canva


    • Previous experience supporting or working with a board a plus.
