Job Summary Under the direct supervision of the Director of the Career Development Center, the WorkAbility IV Program Coordinator effectively coordinates and oversees the multiple complex elements of the University's Cooperative Contract with the Department of Rehabilitation called WorkAbility IV (WA IV). This position is responsible for coordination of all major program elements which serves more than 200 students and requires highly technical writing of contract renewals, amendments, and augmentations in collaboration with the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs technical report writing, service documentation and reporting.
The incumbent trains and engages the WA IV team (i.e. CSULB Bob Murphy Access Center staff, CSULB Career Development Center staff, Department of Rehabilitation Counselors and staff, etc.) in order to provide quality individualized employment services to CSULB students with disabilities in an equitable and culturally inclusive manner to prepare them to become successfully gainfully employed upon degree completion. The Contract is overseen by the Foundation's Office of Research and Sponsored Programs and is maintained by the coordinator, in conjunction with, ORSP, supervisor, and appropriate entities in ensuring compliance and implementation within policies and procedures.
Furthermore, the incumbent provides services that are equitable, inclusive, and culturally sensitive to enhance the quality of campus life. This position uses a student-centered and equity-minded approach in all communication and service efforts.

Key Responsibilities - Contract Coordination: Attend annual DOR Contract Training. Review current contract terms, contract goals vs. program production and evaluate the needs of the program with CDC Director, assigned local Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) Contract Administrator and state Cooperative Programs Specialist, Sacramento.
- Lead Staff and Program Services: Lead all WA IV contracted staff, from the CDC and BMAC, emphasize confidentiality and policies/procedures on confidential and secure data management.
- Case Management: Oversee crisis situations involving WA IV students with individual counseling and collateral support services. Refer to appropriate staff and/or outside resources in a timely manner and according to university policies.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities Working knowledge of Americans with Disabilities Act and employment. Comprehensive knowledge of and/or work experience with experience with the California Department of Rehabilitation. Ability to manage, organize and demonstrate command of complex and continuously changing array of information, dates, places, and people in a systematic way in order to optimize efficiency and minimize duplication of effort in the process of completing projects. Skill in analyzing information, problems, situations procedures etc. to define the problem, identify the relevant issues, and generate reasonable and appropriate alternatives or solutions. Proficiency in using PC computers utilizing programs such as Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, etc.)

Education and Experience - Equivalent to a bachelor's degree with upper or graduate coursework in social work, counseling and guidance, human relations, or related fields plus four years of related experience required.
- A master’s degree in social work, Psychology, Counseling, Vocational Rehabilitation or closely related field preferred for this position due to the level of complexity involved in duties related to the contract, supervision of staff and direct case management involving disabling conditions of many kinds, often with high levels of severity.
- Extensive knowledge of and experience with persons with disabilities and issues of employment preferred.
- Experience with developing and managing cooperative contracts preferred.
- Occasional evenings, weekends, and or extended hours based on operational needs.
Physical Summary Medium work - Job involves lifting heavy-weight objects (20-40 pounds) and/or 20% - 40% of the job involves standing, squatting, kneeling, or walking. May require pushing or pulling objects within the weight limits.
Licenses Possession valid CA Driver's license preferred.

Compensation Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.
Hiring Range: The hiring range for this position is $5,276 - $6,128 per month commensurate with candidate's education, experience, skills, and training.
CSU Classification Salary Range: The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $5,276 - $7,517 per month.

Time Base 1.0 time-base, 40 hours per week.
