Job Location: This position will be located at 930 Wildwood Dr., Jefferson City, MO 65109. However, consideration will be given to statewide candidates with frequent travel to Jefferson City being required.

This position will serve as the primary data disseminator for a number of programs within the Office of Epidemiology including the Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance System (YRBSS), the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS), the Missouri County Level Study (CLS), and the Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System (PRAMS).
- Serve as the YRBSS Coordinator, responsible for overseeing the Youth Risk Behavior Survey in high schools and middle schools across Missouri
- Responsible for the analysis and data dissemination of several population-based surveillance surveys including Missouri YRBSS, BRFSS, CLS, PRAMS, and other Chronic Disease programs
- Develop grant-related reports and presentations and present to internal and external stakeholders
- Serve as a resource for programs with respect to their statistical and epidemiological needs
- Provide timely and accurate responses to data requests
- Develop materials that promote the dissemination of data, including dashboards, reports, fact sheets, data briefs, and infographics
- Coordinate with units across the Division with respect to program planning, implementation and evaluation
Minimum Qualifications: - Master's degree preferred
- 2 or more years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of current research and analytical methods related to public health and epidemiology
- Background in epidemiological research, surveillance, analytical methods, and/or health information analysis is preferred
- Proficiency with SAS or similar statistical software packages is desired, as well as familiarity with PC desktop resources and Microsoft Office Professional software
