The Department of Public Health (DPH), California Children Services (CCS) is recruiting for CCS Staff Aides* for their compliance, monitoring and oversight program to perform a variety of duties, including assisting in the research and development of operational policies and procedures, providing additional support to fiscal and personnel services, and other administrative functions. The Enhancing County Oversight and Monitoring (ECOM) Staff Aides are responsible for multiple activities designed to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations for the California Children’s Services Program. This includes leading the development and implementation of comprehensive training programs for CCS staff, ensuring compliance with state guidelines and CCS requirements. The roles involve overseeing the collection, validation, and analysis of data to ensure quality and meet established deadlines. Staff Aides are instrumental in developing and implementing data management protocols and procedures to uphold rigorous standards. Staff Aides will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, design and deliver tailored training materials, and provide ongoing monitoring of program effectiveness.

ABOUT CALIFORNIA CHILDREN'S SERVICES
The CCS Program provides authorization of diagnostic and treatment services, medical case management, social work assessments and intervention, as well as physical and occupational therapy services to children under age 21 with CCS eligible medical conditions. Examples of CCS eligible conditions include, but are not limited to, chronic medical conditions such as cystic fibrosis, hemophilia, cerebral palsy, heart disease, cancer, traumatic injuries, and infectious diseases that may produce major consequences. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Pre-Employment Process: Prior to appointment, applicants must pass a background investigation which includes verification of employment history and education, fingerprinting, physical exam, and drug screening.
Travel: Travel throughout the County may be required. Employees may be required to make provisions for transportation and use personal vehicles (mileage reimbursement is available at the current IRS rate). At the time of hire, a valid California Class C driver license and proof of automobile liability insurance must be produced and maintained for the individual providing the transportation.
Sponsorship: San Bernardino County is not able to consider candidates who will require Visa sponsorship at the time of application or in the future. Candidates must be able to present their legal right to work in the United States at the time of employment.
Minimum Requirements
Education: Thirty (30) semester (45 quarter) units of completed coursework from an accredited college/university in business/public administration, behavioral/social/health science, nursing, accounting/finance or other relevant field of study. (Transcripts must be submitted with the application or the application will be disqualified.)

Experience: One (1) year of full-time equivalent experience assisting in project or program planning, compliance/quality assurance activities, public speaking, interpreting policies and standard practices, development of training materials and conducting training, and/or monitoring budgets for accuracy and compliance in a Public Health program, community health organization, or related agency. (This experience must be clearly detailed in the Work Experience section of the Application.)
Note: Qualifying degrees or coursework must be completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education. Degrees or coursework completed outside the U.S. must be accompanied with an evaluation report from a reputable credential evaluation service showing equivalency to degrees or coursework completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education.
Desired Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess experience in developing and leading projects, and visual presentation of data and business information. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite programs including the creation of professional documents for public dissemination (e.g., infographics) and familiarity with Microsoft Project program and/or databases are highly desirable.
Bilingual Skills: Applicants fluent in American Sign Language, Arabic, Korean, Mandarin, Spanish and/or Vietnamese are strongly encouraged to apply. Additional compensation is associated with positions requiring the use of bilingual skills. Testing of bilingual skills may be required to receive additional compensation.
