    What You'll Be Doing

    Wake County Capital Workforce Development has an immediate opening for an Accountability Specialist to monitor service providers and local area progress toward achievement of federal performance and pay for performance measures, including developing pay for performance measures. This position will provide ongoing review and audit of Local Area data, monitoring the quality of data entry and system users' proficiency to address problem areas promptly. In addition to leading Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Data Validation annual effort, this position serves as Local Area Super User providing feedback to the NC Division of Workforce Development. The Accountability Specialist also reviews, compiles and analyzes information to track performance and for reporting purposes, while serving as the lead for IBM SkillsBuild and the Access NCWorks platforms.

    The Basics (Required Education and Experience)

    • Associate's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Human Resources or a related field
    • Two years of job-related experience
    • Equivalent education and experience are accepted

    Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience)

    • A Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Human Resources or a related field
    • Experience in working with federal grants performance management, WIOA data validation
    • Experience with IBM SkillsBuild and the Access NCWorks platforms
    • Wake County Capital Workforce Development experience


    How Will We Know You're 'The One'?

    • Knowledge of workforce development programs and systems
    • Ability to coordinate and administer programs, activities and protocols
    • Ability to manage resources, monitor activities and assess environmental risks and quality control associated with the program
    • Ability to identify issues, obtain relevant information, relate and compare data from different sources and identify alternative solutions
    • Ability to convey information clearly and concisely to groups or individuals either verbally or in writing to ensure that they understand the information and the message
    • Ability to listen and respond appropriately to others
    • Knowledge of and ability to use effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions and/or reaching conclusions
    • Ability to compile, assimilate, organize and store printed and electronic information
    • Ability to review, compile and analyze information to prepare reports
    • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships (internally and externally) with others in order to encourage and support communication and teamwork
