    Job Location: This position will be located at 930 wildwood, Jefferson City, MO 65109

This position will primarily work with the Hepatitis surveillance program in the Office of Epidemiology. As part of a collaborative team, this position will work with intradepartmental and interdepartmental staff on selected projects.

    • Identify data resources and collaborate with other organizations to strengthen Hepatitis surveillance, prevention, and response activities.
    • Support data quality assurance and management of Hepatitis case and laboratory surveillance
    • Routine epidemiologic analysis and data
    • Other duties as assigned related to reportable STIs, including HIV.
    • Travel in and out of state to support local public health efforts and present research at both local and national


    Minimum Qualifications:

    • This is an entry-level position responsible for carrying out surveillance, detection, and prevention of Hepatitis. Employees work as a team or project member, under the direction of an epidemiologist.

      • Bachelor’s degree and 2 or more years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree in public health (Substitutions may be allowed).
      • Knowledge of epidemiologic techniques, methods and surveillance systems
      • Proficiency in SAS or other statistical analysis software preferred but not required
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
