This position will primarily work with the Hepatitis surveillance program in the Office of Epidemiology. As part of a collaborative team, this position will work with intradepartmental and interdepartmental staff on selected projects.
- Identify data resources and collaborate with other organizations to strengthen Hepatitis surveillance, prevention, and response activities.
- Support data quality assurance and management of Hepatitis case and laboratory surveillance
- Routine epidemiologic analysis and data
- Other duties as assigned related to reportable STIs, including HIV.
- Travel in and out of state to support local public health efforts and present research at both local and national
Minimum Qualifications: - This is an entry-level position responsible for carrying out surveillance, detection, and prevention of Hepatitis. Employees work as a team or project member, under the direction of an epidemiologist.
- Bachelor’s degree and 2 or more years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree in public health (Substitutions may be allowed).
- Knowledge of epidemiologic techniques, methods and surveillance systems
- Proficiency in SAS or other statistical analysis software preferred but not required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
