Job Location: This position will be located out of one of the regional offices - Jefferson City, Columbia, St. Louis, Raytown, or Springfield.

The Healthcare Associated Infection and Antimicrobial Resistance (HAI/AR) program responds to healthcare facility outbreaks, promotes surveillance of HAI infections, contains emerging threats from AR organisms while working with facilities in prevention efforts. - Evaluate transmission risks and provide initial consultations with healthcare facilities to address multi-drug resistant organisms (MDROs), suspected outbreaks, and infection control breaches.
- Assist healthcare facilities with coordination of sample collection, patient notification, tracing, etc. as needed during investigations.
- Communicate with Local Public Health Agencies regarding HAI within their jurisdictions.
- Work closely with other investigation team members.
- Assist with the collection of reportable HAI data.
- Attend industry trainings and meetings to increase knowledge in various HAI areas.
Minimum Qualifications: - Master's degree in Public Health or equivalent is preferred or a Bachelor's degree in a public health area and two or more years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of epidemiologic techniques and methods.
- Ability to analyze and interpret epidemiologic data.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and with other team members to accomplish program goals.
- Organized and able to multi-task work.
