The Chief Executive Office is seeking qualified candidates to fill emergency Program Specialist IV, CEO vacancies related to the homelessness crisis.
Applicants will be processed on an as-received basis and those who meet the requirements may be hired on a temporary basis for up to 90 days.
Before the end of your temporary work period, you will undergo an assessment which consists of an evaluation of experience based upon your performance. This assessment will be weighted 100% and will evaluate your general ability to perform the job duties.
Those who successfully pass the assessment will be placed on a list for and considered for permanent appointment to Program Specialist IV, CEO.Essential Job FunctionsServes as a senior data scientist under the direction of the Chief Data Scientist and will lead the conduct of data analysis and research in direct support of the Homeless Initiative’s efforts.
Leads the collection/analysis of data to develop KPIs and outcomes for the County’s Homeless Response System.
Leads collaboration efforts with stakeholders to solicit, define, and develop Key Performance Indicators and Outcomes for accountability and transparency related to the countywide homeless alignment and governance efforts.
Works with the Chief Data Officer and technical staff to and plays a lead role in the collection, integration, and retention requirements for large and complex sets of data from various sources in support of the analysis and development of homeless KPIs and outcomes.
RequirementsTRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:Requirements to QualifyOne year of experience in a staff capacity analyzing and making recommendations for the solution of problems of organization, program, systems, budget, compensation, or personnel, at the level of Los Angeles County class of Program Specialist III, CEO* or higher.
LicenseA valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
Physical ClassLight - This class includes administrative and clerical positions requiring light physical effort that may include occasional light lifting to a 10 pound limit and some bending, stooping, or squatting. Considerable ambulation may be involved.
Special Requirement Information*In the County of Los Angeles, experience at the level of Program Specialist III, CEO is defined as providing professional services to operating departments regarding complex problems in the administration of specialized organization-wide programs.
Out of Class Experience will not be accepted for this examination.
