    Job Announcement

    The City of Chandler Information Technology Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Technical Support Senior Analyst. The position is scheduled to work 5 days a week, 8 hours per day.

We manage technology investments and assets such as the city's enterprise computer network, systems, and applications, and we are committed to continually advancing our technological capabilities. Our responsibilities also include providing technology services and support, consulting, business process analysis, and project management.

    Who we are looking for
    Our new team member will have a passion for customer service, teamwork, and collaboration. We are looking for someone to provide advanced technical support (second and third tier desktop support), serve as a technical lead on projects and guide and assist Service Desk Technicians. Our new team member should possess a mix of the following technical and soft skills:

    • Ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical users clearly and effectively.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills for documentation and user interactions.
    • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex technical issues.
    • A focus on providing high-quality support and a positive user experience.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritize issues, and meet deadlines.
    • Experience working collaboratively with other IT teams and departments.
    • A commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest O365 features, updates, and best practices.
    • Ability to adapt to new technologies and changing requirements in a dynamic environment.

    Minimum qualifications
    • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
    • 4 years of recent service desk experience with a wide variety of operating systems, software, hardware, applications, peripheral and problem resolution
    • Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record
    • Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
    Desired technical skills and qualifications
    • Understanding of O365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, etc.).
    • Familiarity with O365 administration and management tasks.
    • Proven experience in diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to O365.
    • Experience with handling complex issues, including integration with other systems and troubleshooting performance problems.
    • Understanding of Exchange Online administration.
    • Experience with email migrations, mailbox management, and security configurations.
    • Familiarity with Azure Active Directory (AAD) and its integration with O365.
    • Understanding of SSO (Single Sign-On) and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
    • Understanding of network configurations and how they impact O365 performance.
    • Experience with VPNs, proxies, and bandwidth management as they relate to O365.

    This is a regular full-time position, subject to a 6-month probationary period. A register of qualified candidates will be active for 4 months should another position become available.
