Position open until 12/6/2024 Salary: $72,843 annually General Description and Classification Standards This position falls under the Atlanta Police Department’s Real Time Crime Center (RTCC). In summary, Real Time Crime Center Intelligence Analysts support provide lifesaving information to first responders in the form of video feeds, license plate reader information, and other integrated data sources. RTCC Intelligence Analysts will also analyze and provide investigators with video searches and data retrieval for all types of criminal investigations.
The Technology Supervisor will plan, direct, manage, and oversee the activities and operations of Operation Shield located within Atlanta Police Department’s RTCC, including real-time crime center operations, Video Network and Critical Incident monitoring. Oversee the management of RTCC services and activities. Manage and participate in the development and administration of division goals, objectives, and procedures. Oversee, direct, and coordinate the work of subordinate staff. Analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions, and implement recommendations in support of goals. The right candidate will possess a strong management background, will have demonstrated experience leading medium to large projects, and will have a well-rounded technical background.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of being able to lead a diverse group of individuals, maintaining systems and servers, and implementing new processes and practices that improve efficiency. Additionally, a growth mindset is critical for this position as we are looking for new ways to engage and scale Operation Shield.
Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience - Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (Computer Science, Information Technology Management, Engineering or another related field)
- Four plus years of experience preferably with team or project lead experience
- Experience with administration of video management systems with a preference for Genetec experience
- Experience with cloud-based surveillance solutions
- Experience with ESRI/GIS mapping software
- Certification through Georgia Crime Information Center (GCIC)/National Crime Information Center (NCIC) within three months of hire.
- Ability to pass a post-offer/pre-employment background check and drug and alcohol screening.
Licenses and Certifications - Valid Driver’s License from State of Residency preferred
- IT certifications preferred such as Network+, A+, CCNA
- Certification through Georgia Crime Information Center (GCIC)/National Crime Information Center (NCIC) within six months of hire
