    Administrative Support Coordinator I


    Compensation and Benefits

    Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $3,864 to $4,000 per month

    Full CSU Classification Salary Range: $3,864 to $6,072 per month

    This is a full-time, probationary, non-exempt position.

    Area of consideration is limited to on-campus, state funded employees only.

    Positions at Fresno State are to perform their work onsite. Some positions, depending upon University needs and operations, may be eligible for remote work, one day per week, pursuant to Fresno State's remote work guidelines and the CSU policy.

    The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and vacation time, and 15 paid holidays a year.     Job Summary

    Under the general lead direction of one of the Confidential Analysts, the primary purpose of this position is to provide a full range of clerical and administrative support for the Office of Faculty Affairs. Responsibilities are operational and procedural in nature. Assignments include independently completing tasks while using judgment and discretion, in an accurate and timely manner; demonstrating effective and efficient planning, initiative, organization, prioritization, decision- making, and confidentiality skills; interpreting and applying university and college policies, procedures and guidelines; gathering data and preparing standard reports; processing documents/records providing budget support, and financial reporting that involves reconciliation, analysis and projections.

    Key Qualifications
    • Knowledge of:
      • Thorough knowledge of office methods, procedures, and standard practices, including principles of customer service.
      • Thorough knowledge of English grammar, spelling and punctuation.
      • Working knowledge of budget practices and procedures.
    • Ability to:
      • Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a collegial work environment.
      • Learn and interpret a wide variety of complex operations and academic policies and procedures and support the mission of the department, school, and university.
      • Work independently and use sound judgment and discretion in establishing effective business processes and meeting deadlines.

    Education and Experience
    • Completion of a high school program, technical/vocational program, or their equivalents.
    • Equivalent of two years of related office work experience.
    • Experience working in a team-oriented environment.


    Department Summary

    The Office of Faculty Affairs serves and advises faculty and administration on all matters relating to academic personnel. This includes but is not limited to, appointment, reappointment, tenure, promotion, leaves, and grievances. This office is designated to handle all matters related to Unit 3 (Faculty) and Unit 11 (Academic Student Employees).

This will require the filing of a Statement of Economic Interest on an annual basis and the completion of training within six (6) months of assuming office and every two (2) years thereafter.
