This recruitment is only open to current employees of the San Bernardino County Auditor-Controller/Treasurer/Tax Collector's Department who hold a regular, contract, extra-help, recurrent, Public Service Employee (PSE), Work Experience Program (WEX) or intern position. Former PSE, WEX, or interns are eligible to apply up to 6 months from the end of their assignment.

The Auditor-Controller/Treasurer/Tax Collector (ATC) is recruiting for an ATC Division Chief to lead, plan, organize, and direct operations within the Tax Collector Division. The ATC Division Chief oversees division activities through subordinate managers, acts as a consultant to other County managers and departments, develops the division's budget and fees, assesses staffing requirements, and recommends or approves accounting, budgeting, property tax, or management systems.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Pre-Employment Process: Prior to appointment, applicants must pass a background investigation and verification of employment history and education.
Travel: County and State travel may be required and employees will be required to make provision for such transportation (mileage reimbursement is available at current IRS rate). At the time of hire, a valid California Class C driver license and proof of automobile liability insurance must be produced for the individual providing the transportation.
Visa Sponsorship: Please note San Bernardino County is not able to consider candidates who will require visa sponsorship at the time of application or in the future.
Minimum Requirements
REQUIRED: EXPERIENCE
Must possess four (4) years of full-time equivalent experience managing or supervising professional-level accounting operations.
EDUCATION
Must possess a completed/awarded Bachelor's degree in accounting or a closely related field.

EDUCATION
Qualifying degrees or coursework must be completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education. Degrees or coursework completed outside the U.S. must be accompanied with an evaluation report from a reputable credential evaluation service showing equivalency to degrees or coursework completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education. (Must be attached if applicable.)
