This position is with the Office of Administration Division of Facilities Management, Design, and Construction (OA-FMDC) supporting the Operations Team. What you’ll do: - Prioritize excellent customer service for a wide and diverse network of internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to internal teams, state agencies, state officials, contractors, and the public.
- Perform high-quality, accurate work relating to the 24/7 operation, maintenance, repair, and oversight of boilers, chillers, high-pressure steam plants, and other mechanical equipment.
- Ensure compliance with administrative tasks including but not limited to compiling reports on monthly utility usage; water sampling; testing, monitoring, and adjusting equipment; ordering parts and supplies for future needs; and more.
- Participate in operational administration including monitoring and accounting for inventory, recommending need for outside contractors, creating job specifications, preparing bids for approval, and monitoring work and equipment).
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment and machinery, as well as complete preventative and corrective maintenance tasks as assigned.
- Follow all OA-FMDC health and safety protocols in addition to OSHA standards.
- Ensure facilities remain in compliance with agency programmatic requirements.
- Answer emergency calls and provide occasional shift coverage to ensure facility is staffed appropriately.
All you need for success: - Ability to communicate, collaborate, and operate with integrity in a manner that inspires trust and builds positive rapport with a diverse group of stakeholders and the public.
- 2-4 years of skilled experience.
- Ability to plan, manage, and execute numerous time-sensitive projects and tasks independently or as part of a team using procedures, processes, regulations, and practices applicable to a specialized trade.
- Working knowledge of operations, maintenance, and repair of boilers, chillers, high-pressure steam plants; including but not limited to knowledge of generators, electronic controls, meters, pumps, and Building Automation Systems (BAS).
- Ability to comprehend, analyze and interpret complex technical documentation and manuals to solve problems and provide options for resolution.
- Ability to discern skill set needed for projects and whether it can be completed in-house or by a contractor.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license from Missouri or from an adjacent state if you reside outside of Missouri.
- Considerable knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions. (OSHA 10 and/or 30 preferred.)

*This position is physically demanding.
