Follow us on Social Media!Essential Job FunctionsWhat are some of the responsibilities of the Lead Executive Recruiter within the Talent Acquisition Division? - Manage the development of executive recruitment strategies for the more complex executive-level recruitments by communicating with hiring managers to clarify ambiguities in job definitions and success factors, determining optimal sourcing methods based upon position needs, maximizing sourcing dollars and reducing time to hire, delegating the cold calling of recruits and referrers, evaluating the effectiveness of different sources of candidates from previous searches, reviewing communication strategies developed by staff to attract candidates; and analyzing trends and forecasting changes in workforce requirements in order to prepare for future recruitments.
- Plan, organize, and direct the work of staff for the more complex executive-level recruitments by reviewing staff work product for errors and consistency; assigning recruitments and providing guidance as needed; and performing various administrative and operational functions within the Talent Acquisition Division.
- Manage or lead the development of Talent Acquisition related programs for Countywide implementation by determining program objectives; compiling and analyzing relevant information; developing and leading the implementation of project plans; allocating the appropriate resources; applying the latest technological applications available; leading the development of related policies and procedures; and managing the provision of qualitative and quantitative analysis, interpretation and recommendations for various human resources programs and initiatives.
- Execute highly complex special projects by serving as the leader/liaison with other divisions, County departments, and outside organizations; preparing for and attending functions or events; and presenting information to others.
Requirements REQUIREMENTS TO QUALIFY One (1) year of experience leading or supervising executive or complex technical recruitments*, with specific experience in identifying potential candidates, recruiting passive candidates, assessing candidates, and facilitating the hire of the most qualified candidates at the level of the County of Los Angeles class of Human Resources Analyst IV** or higher.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT INFORMATION *Executive recruitments are for positions in the top three levels of management in an organization. Complex technical recruitments include positions where a) training and education are very specific to the position, b) the labor pool is relatively small, and/or c) the more qualified potential applicants are not actively searching for a new job.
**In the County of Los Angeles, experience performing at the level of
Human Resources Analyst IV includes independently analyzing and implementing solutions for problems in the administration of executive or complex technical recruitment programs at the lead or expert level; this includes delegating tasks/duties to subordinates as needed and reviewing completed work. Examples of the Los Angeles County classes acceptable at this level are
Administrative Services Manager III , Program Specialist IV, CEO , and

PHYSICAL EXPECTATIONS Physical Class II - Light: This class includes administrative and clerical positions requiring light physical effort that may include occasional light lifting to a 10-pound limit and some bending, stooping, or squatting. Considerable ambulation may be involved.

WHAT TO EXPECT NEXT Once you complete the Assessment Process and receive a passing score of 70% or higher on each weighted part of the exam, you will be placed on a list of eligible candidates, in the order of your score group for a period of six (6) months.
TRANSFER OF TEST COMPONENTS - Applicants who have taken identical components recently for other exams may have their responses automatically transferred to this examination.
- This examination contains test components that may be used in the future for new examinations and your test responses may be transferred.
