This position will be located at
Lake of the Ozarks State Park, 403 Highway 134, Brumley, MO. Shift is Wednesday through Sunday (five 8-hour days per week), 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (30-minute lunch break). Shifts may vary with the time of year and to meet the needs of the facility. This position will require working regular weekends and occasional nights, holidays, and special events, etc.
We are looking for people to join our team who love serving others while working within Missouri’s finest examples of natural and cultural resources at Lake of the Ozarks State Park.
- Responsible for performing a variety of semi-skilled work in the alteration, maintenance, natural resource stewardship, and repair of state buildings and facilities.
- Work in a variety of trade areas such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, concrete, and masonry, painting, plastering, and mechanical repair in settings such as facilities, grounds, and cemeteries.
- Routine cleaning of cabins, restrooms, campsites, and park grounds.
- Maintain a valid vehicle operator’s license to operate and maintain licensed vehicles, as well as tractors, mowers, skid steer, and other grounds related equipment.
- Operate and maintain lawn mowers, tractors, skid loader, trucks, chainsaws, leaf blowers, and similar mechanical equipment.
- Assist with daily operations in three organized group camps, The Outpost, Pin Oak Facility, and a primitive campground.
- Provide information to park visitors regarding park facilities, rules and regulations while working in the field.
- Assist with prescribed burns, wildfire suppression, and other natural or cultural resource activities.
- May also oversee a crew engaged in maintenance tasks.
This position may be required to obtain and maintain commercial operator’s license, water/wastewater certifications, and/or other required licenses/certification. If required and if you do not currently possess this license/certification, you will be given six months to obtain necessary license/certification.

Equivalent to those typically gained by:
- 1 - 3 years of experience in any of the following trade areas: electrical, plumbing, concrete and masonry, carpentry, painting, plastering, and mechanical repair.
