This position will be located at Missouri Geological Survey Office, 111 Fairgrounds Rd, Rolla.
- Assist in dam safety inspections
- Continue the dam breach inundation project by using DSS-WISE
- Complete evaluation/inundation maps and draft Emergency Action Plans
- Surveying
- Exposure to engineering analysis of dams
- Assist with dam height evaluations
- You will be a team player and perform duties as assigned to create a highly efficient work environment
Engineering student in Civil, Geological, or Mining Engineering
AND
To be successful in this position, a candidate will need the following skills:
- Self-Management: Sets well-defined and realistic personal goals; displays a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments in a timely manner; works with minimal supervision; is motivated to achieve; demonstrates responsible behavior
- General Engineering: Knowledge of the concepts, principles, and theories of engineering and their practical applications.

Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant. Experience to be gained: - Work with Professional Engineers to understand dam safety inspections and other engineering work products.
