The City of Brentwood’s Public Works Department is searching for a Wastewater Treatment Plant Supervisor to lead the operation and maintenance of the City’s wastewater treatment facility. The facility is in the final stages of a $94M expansion to expand capacity and modify the treatment process. As the Wastewater Treatment Plant Supervisor, you will oversee daily operations, coordinate maintenance activities, and be the field liaison for construction related activity.

Qualifications Education and Experience Guidelines: Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Education/Training: - Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by specialized training in wastewater treatment plant operations and/or maintenance.
Experience: - Four years of experience in the operation, mechanical maintenance and repair of a wastewater treatment facility including one year of lead supervisory responsibility.
License or Certificate: - Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate driver's license.
- Possession of a Grade III Certification as a Wastewater Plant Operator from the California State Water Resources Control Board.

The examination process will consist of:
- Review of applications for minimum qualifications for the position and to ensure all materials have been submitted.
- Panel Board Interview - Applicants possessing these requirements will be invited to a panel board interview, tentatively scheduled for the week of January 21, 2025.
Eligible List : All applicants that pass the examination process will be placed on the eligible list which is good for at least 6 months and may be extended up to an additional 18 months. This eligible list will be used by the City of Brentwood to fill all current and future openings in this classification as long as the list is active.
