    Position Description
    Performs supervisory and coordinative work in the operation of a specific program or departmental project. Responsibilities involve the coordination and supervision of the various functions and aspects of a specific program as well as the monitoring of program staff and operational procedures. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on results obtained. May supervise program staff, volunteers and student assistants.

    Major/Essential Functions
    This position is a part-time position and will report to the Assistant Vice President of Institutional Advancement (AVPIA). The primary responsibility of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) Stewardship Coordinator is to assist the department proper stewardship of donors to TTUHSC. This position supports the department's internal systems, structures, and processes that enable the Institutional Advancement office to maintain the highest standards of donor satisfaction.
    • Embodies the Values Based Culture of TTUHSC by living out the university's core values of One Team, Kindhearted, Integrity, Visionary, Beyond Service.
    • Provides guidance to staff on all donor engagement IA related policies across TTUHSC and TTUS including Regents Rules.
    • Stay up to date with university policies related to gifts and in-kind donations.
    • Supports the TTUHSC Sr. Director of Finance and Operations for External Relations in pulling of underutilized funds report on a quarterly basis and coordinate with appropriate TTUHSC team members to ensure spend-down of endowed funds.
    • Works with appropriate TTUHSC team members to track and update annual appointments of endowed professorship and chairs. Communicate updates to TTUS on an annual basis.
    • Works alongside IA Communications Specialist and TTUS IA team to coordinate the production of the annual Texas Tech Foundation, Inc. endowment report.
    • Responsible for delivery of annual scholarship letters to endowed scholarship donors and allocation stewardees of endowed scholarship funds.
    • Responsible for working with IA business coordinators to pull weekly gift reports for TTUHSC and the Laura W. Bush Institute.
    • Responsible for sending all gift acknowledgement letters for Lubbock, Dallas, and Abilene campuses on a weekly basis.
    • Works alongside Director of Development to coordinate components of a stewardship program ensuring it continues to be agile and adapt to donor behaviors.
    • Coordinates with members of the TTUHSC event team, C&M, and other appropriate ER and IA team members to create event timelines and plans for events including but not limited to speaking points, visual assets needed, branding/marking, and all other A/V needs.
    • Creates run of show for events and work alongside appropriate ER team members to assign duties for day of event.


    Required Qualifications
    High school graduation plus five (5) years progressively responsible related experience; additional related education may exchange for required experience on a year for year basis.
