ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Deploys, sets up, and operates the photo system, including laptop computer, 35mm camera, radar, photographic system, and monitor.
- Conducts remote review of violations for quality assurance purposes.
- Appears in court and testifies in speeding violation cases.
- Recognizes minor problems and arranges for vehicle maintenance.
- Coordinates activities with company representative.
- Completes a variety of forms, reports and required paperwork.
- Responds to questions from citizens; explains policy and procedure regarding camera radar program.
OTHER DUTIES: - Complete forms or reports legibly.
- Operate a 35mm camera, TV, laptop computer, and cell phone.
- Operate digital imaging software.
- Testify in court.
- Learn, understand, and explain RADAR.
- Verbally diffuse irate citizens.
- Learn, understand, and explain the Photo System.
- Use a police radio if needed.
- Other duties as assigned, which may include occasionally assisting with personnel-related assignment paperwork, computer applications, or with the hiring process.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is not responsible for the supervision of employees.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: - Ability to learn and apply technical terminology and information specifically related to police work.

- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form, valid driver’s license required.
- Must be over 18 years of age.
EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED.
EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in law enforcement or customer service desirable. Must have a good driving record.
MATERIAL AND EQUIPMENT USED: Motor vehicle, personal computer, calculator, copy machine, radar equipment.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES: Some work performed in a typical office environment which requires sitting, reaching, repetitive keyboard motions. Physical activities include: Driving, walking, standing, running, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, crawling, bending, climbing, feeling, talking, seeing (includes distinguishing color), hearing and conducting repetitive motions. Extended period operating a vehicle. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, cold, and heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
