    Position Description
    Performs administrative duties in the management and coordination of a large specialized project and program. Performs varied and complex administrative duties requiring independent judgment and the application of established policies and procedures. May provide supervision and direction to clerical, paraprofessional or professional staff members.

    Major/Essential Functions
    This position serves as Program Director of the Performance Improvement department of the TTUHSC SON Combest. Primary duties and responsibilities include:
    • Have an understanding of data collection, correlation and dissemination.
    • Develops, implements, and oversees the performance improvement plan and all activities including peer review in coordination with the Clinical Director and Clinic Department Administrators. Ensures that QI/QA assessments are conducted on a routine basis. Monitors the outcome of QI/QA assessment and reports outcome to Governing Board and Clinic Director and Clinic Department Administrators.
    • Utilizes clinical data and analytics to continually evaluate and improve patient care outcomes.
    • Leads all quality initiatives within the organization, and collaborates with clinic administrators to prepare and present written reports on all /QIPI activities.
    • Coordinates with the clinic administrators in the development, implementation, and revision of policies and procedure concerning patient care consistent with the guidelines of credentialing agencies and national standards, including those related to clinical support.
    • Assists clinic administrators to communicate data and quality measures on a regular basis to staff and
      providers for review, benchmarking, and quality improvement purposes. Assists clinical staff in development of efficient documentation methods.
    • Lead staff in identifying, prioritizing, and developing action plans to respond to emerging populations and service needs supporting quality measure for patients that involve assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Contributes to the reporting requirements related to performance improvement activities, chart reviews, and other internal and external needs such as HEDIS and PCMH.
    • Serve & represent Combest on various committees.
    • Supervisory duties.


    Required Qualifications
    Bachelor's degree in the area of specialization or closely related field. Four years of related administrative and technical experience. Additional job related education may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
