    This position will be located at the Southwest Regional Office, 2040 West Woodland, Springfield, MO 65807.

    • Conduct operator training courses, including wastewater certification courses.
    • Provide compliance assistance and technical assistance to wastewater systems, both in the office and onsite.
    • Prepare documentation that is timely and accurate, and conduct follow-up work for timely assistance
    • Maintain analytical equipment, reagents, sampling and laboratory supplies and, develop and coordinate the quality assurance/quality control program for field and laboratory equipment.
    • Perform other related work as assigned.


    This position is required to obtain and maintain a current "A" or "B" Wastewater license.

    • Attention to Detail : Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
    • Self-Management : Sets well-defined and realistic personal goals; displays a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments in a timely manner; works with minimal supervision; is motivated to achieve; demonstrates responsible behavior.
    • A valid Missouri State Driver’s License


    Equivalent to those typically gained by:

    • A Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, natural resources, physical sciences, or a closely related field, and 4 or more years of relevant experience.
    • A minimum of 3.5 years of in-plant wastewater experience.
