Program Specialist within the
Clinical Program and Policy Unit located in
Cole County.Semi-monthly salary: $2,322.31
Job Location: This position is located at the
Howerton State Office Building; 615 Howerton Court, Jefferson City, MO.

This is an independent and responsible position that will oversee MO HealthNet’s Breast and Cervical Cancer Control Project, Laboratory and Radiology programs. This position will also research Managed Care issues relating to the fee-for-service MO HealthNet program. The responsibilities of this position include.
- Research, develop, and implement policy based on state and federal requirements.
- Amend State Plans, state regulations, provider manuals, and compose provider bulletins for assigned programs.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of MO HealthNet policies and procedures, state/federal regulations and statutes associated with assigned programs.
- Collaborate with Information Technology Support Division, MMIS Unit, and the MO HealthNet Fiscal Agent for new or modified reporting systems based on program modifications.
- Research and resolve legislative inquiries.
- Request and analyze system reports to monitor and propose changes to assigned programs.
- Respond to complex surveys, correspondence, and phone inquiries.
Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)

- Self-motivated with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas, plans, procedures, and programs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant experience with policy and interpretation.
