Job Summary Salary: $19.21 - $24.49 Performs complex secretarial, administrative, and clerical work of a diverse nature. Performs various specialized secretarial and clerical duties which require in-depth knowledge of the organization, programs, policies, and procedures of the Department and a general knowledge of other City of Orlando programs. Duties performed consist of more diverse and specialized tasks that require the application of more involved processes and/or procedures than does the Staff Assistant position. Work performed generally involves file organization and management, fiscal processing, tracking and support for some of the tasks involved in real estate closings. Familiarity with real estate terms and transactions preferred but not required. Provides principal secretarial support for a complex Division supporting multiple City Departments. Assignments are usually performed with general instructions, guidance, and minimal supervision.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate plus two to three (2-3) years secretarial experience, preferably with office management responsibilities; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Demonstration of typing, may be required, depending on the area of assignment. May be required to pass 25 WPM dictation test and/or become a Public Notary. Microsoft Word, or Microsoft Excel proficiency preferred.

If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:
- Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
- Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
- Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
- Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
