Work Schedule: This position must be available during the department's core business hours with a work schedule of 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday.

Why is the work you do in this position important to Missouri?This position serves Missourians by being their first point of contact with the Insurance Market Regulation Division. This position helps assist department staff, the insurance industry, and Missouri consumers navigate the regulatory environment.
- Provide administrative support to the Division Director and section managers within the Division.
- Process incoming product filings, including review of documents to ensure accurate billing, compliance with basic filing requirements and timely distribution of work to Regulatory Auditors.
- Perform general clerical duties including receiving telephone calls, responding to e-mails, processing mail, maintaining calendars, making travel arrangements, updating procedure manuals and forms/templates and ordering supplies. Provide back up and assistance to other support staff within the division and department.
- Complete projects assigned by the Division Director and section managers. Projects may include conducting research, creating slide decks, arranging section events, equipment handling, etc.
What are the qualifications for the position? - Knowledge of office practices, procedures, systems and equipment. Individual should be competent in the use of Word and Excel, PowerPoint or another presentation application, possess strong organizational skills and have the ability to work independently and multi-task. Familiarity with, and prior use of, databases preferred.
- Knowledge of grammar, composition, spelling and formatting of correspondence and the ability to communicate effectively in correspondence and direct communications with insurance companies and department staff.
Areas of qualifying experience:
- One or more years of related office support experience and possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency (substitutions may be allowed).
