    Overview

We are looking for a Program Coordinator for the Colorado Human Services Directors Association (CHSDA) !

CHSDA is a non-profit association representing the human/social services directors from each of Colorado’s counties. Colorado is a county-administered, state-supervised human services system. CHSDA works under the authority and direction of County Commissioners. Our mission is to bring together human services directors from each of Colorado’s counties to advance the well-being and self-sufficiency of individuals, families, and communities.

This position provides project coordination support and oversees various projects identified as strategic priorities within the Association. This position works most closely with Colorado Directors of County Departments of Human Services, County Commissioners, and state agency staff in developing, implementing, monitoring, and reporting on projects pertaining to local human services delivery.

This position is a remote position. You will be required to have adequate internet access and space for remote work. Larimer County provides an annual remote work stipend to assist with equipment and office supply needs for remote workspaces. In person attendance is expected at Association events such as conferences and strategic planning days, as well as for meetings in the Denver metro area several times a month.

    Responsibilities

    What you’ll be doing:
    • Developing and implementing detailed project plans with clear goals, timelines, resources, and outcomes.
    • Leading collaborative projects across county human services programs and Association strategic initiatives.
    • Supporting advocacy efforts through research, stakeholder outreach, and policy and data analysis.
    • Participating in and facilitating meetings with leaders from county departments, state agencies, and CHSDA staff, and providing key updates to members.
    • Coordinating internal resources and external partners to ensure project success and addressing challenges as they arise.
    • Creating and reviewing member resources, including fact sheets, conference content, and knowledge-sharing tools.
    • Writing and reviewing proposed rules, documents, and research summaries for members and state agency leaders.
    • Monitoring proposed legislation, attending hearings, and testifying as needed.
    • Building relationships with county and state leaders, community partners, and legislators to foster collaboration.
    • Enhancing operational efficiency by tracking and reporting data, gathering member feedback, and improving communication.
    • Supporting a welcoming and collaborative environment for members, partners, and stakeholders.
    • Keeping the Policy Director informed on project progress, challenges, and barriers.
    • Assisting with tasks typically handled by the Policy Director or Coordinator in their absence.
