RoleUnder general supervision, performs duties in auditing, coding, posting, and reporting all department revenue and refunds.
Major Duties, Responsibilities- Audits, codes and posts daily revenue from all programs and sites.
- Audits and imports data into accounting systems.
- Backs up other accounting staff when needed.
- Establishes and monitors electronic transfers of funds.
- Prepares monthly revenue and banking reports.
- Processes refunds. Requests replenishment for the refund bank account.
- Monitors "Petty Cash" account and requests replenishment.
- Reconciles the department's bank accounts.
- Sets up monthly CERs and bills assigned grants.
- Reviews bi-weekly payroll.
- Prepare time study documentation from payroll system for Grant CERs.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum QualificationsEducation:High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:A minimum of two (2) years of accounting, bookkeeping or related experience.
Additional Requirements:Must possess a valid Arizona driver’s license.
Must possess a current fingerprint clearance card Issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

- Proper application of Yavapai County department revenue codes, fund numbers, and contract fiscal years to ensure the proper posting, filing, and reporting of all revenue and expenditures.
- File maintenance procedures and practices.

- Clerical office practices and procedures.
- Research techniques and report writing.
- Current Microsoft Office software.
- Filing and recordkeeping.

- Establish and maintain computerized filing system, prepare and maintain financial records, and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with associates, employees of other departments, representatives of other organizations, County officials, and the public.
- Keep management informed of key operating issues affecting the department.
- Remain current in knowledge required to perform assigned duties.
- Handle confidential matters and maintain discretion always.
- Act with courtesy, tact, and diplomacy.
Work Environment:The work environment is associated with an office. The work area is adequately lighted, heated or cooled and ventilated.
Physical Requirements:Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Sufficient vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; hearing and speech ability to communicate effective in-person and telephonically. Capable of frequent repetitive movement of arms, fingers, and wrists. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
