- Ongoing development of all Department staff with emphasis on assuring that staff are provided with the resources necessary to meet and/or exceed their individual performance expectations and to continually grow within the Department.
- This is a specialized professional training and development position responsible for designing, developing, coordinating, and delivering instructional programs for specialized areas. Instruction may be in areas such as onboarding, computer training, professional development, supervisory and managerial training, e-learning and continuous improvement.
- Employees administer certification requirements, assess the availability of training resources, and evaluate cost effectiveness of training programs.
- Work may involve evaluating the effectiveness of training programs and trainers; and ensuring training programs align with organizational strategic goals and objectives.
- May coordinate, develop and validate examinations that measure learner’s performance or measure the achievement of training objectives and knowledge transfer.
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree and 4-6 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
Preferred Qualifications: - Knowledge of instructional design methods and development of necessary materials for adult learners.
- Ideal candidates will have excellent training facilitation abilities, excel in both verbal and written communication, and be comfortable presenting to large groups.
- Trainer will be well versed in presentation related technology and have the ability to trouble-shoot as needed.
- Ability to work both autonomously and as a valued team member.
- Ability to make and receive recommendations for training changes and implement them as approved.
