    The Position

    PER EXECUTIVE ORDER 2024-007, ALL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS HAVE BEEN WAIVED FOR THIS POSITION UNTIL JUNE 30TH, 2025.     This position is for the Department of Transportation, located in Sparks, within the Sign Fabrication Shop. This position will produce blank signs of various sizes and shapes to be used for the production of highway signs and ensure they are in compliance with federal and State standards. The incumbent will be responsible for filling and logging work orders. Job duties include fabricating highway signs in accordance with the work order and sign specifications, applying reflective sheeting, and filling out the necessary shop requisition for materials used.     To Qualify:

    In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
    Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications) Associate's degree in machine tool, metal fabrication, or metal milling; OR [G]graduation from high school or equivalent education and one year of experience in sheet metal fabrication, sign production, or a related field which included layout work and operating metal shear machinery and cornering machines; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. The Examination Application Evaluation Exam The exam will consist of an application evaluation. It is essential that applications include detailed information with time frames regarding education and experience. The most qualified applicants will be contacted by the hiring agency for interview. In contrast, the State's lowest point (along the Colorado River) is only 470 feet above sea level. From majestic mountains to desert valleys, nature has endowed Nevada with diverse and unique ecosystems.
