    Senior Service Coordinator

    $41.9790 - $53.5771 per hour, based on qualifications
    This is a part-time, unbenefited position.

    The Town of Los Gatos is a vibrant and engaged community committed to providing high-quality services and programs that enhance the quality of life for all residents, including our older population. As part of this commitment, the Town has created a Senior Service Coordinator position to help:
    • Support the implementation of the Senior Service Committee Roadmap .
    • Coordinate among senior services providers to assess service gaps and develop innovative strategies and partnerships to address unmet needs.
    • Build strong relationships with community-based organizations, stakeholders, community leaders, and service providers.
    • Act as a Town liaison to senior services providers by serving as a key point of contact, communicating any feedback from users regarding their services, and sharing other information that might be useful to the providers.
    • Collaborate with other Town departments and external partners to share information on senior services with the community.
    • Prepare reports, budgets, presentations, and promotional materials as necessary.
    • Attend meetings of the Community Health and Senior Services Commission as appropriate, and support preparing staff reports, agendas, and minutes.

    • Passionate about working with seniors and improving their quality of life.
    • Experience working with seniors and knowledge of their unique needs and interests.
    • Knowledgeable about senior services, resources, and best practices in aging services.
    • A skilled communicator who can build and maintain meaningful relationships with diverse stakeholders.
    • Experienced in program development, implementation, and evaluation.
    • A self-starter who can work independently and prioritize multiple projects effectively.
    • Familiarity with the Los Gatos community and its resources.

    The Town of Los Gatos is a member of the World Health Organization (WHO) Global Network of Age-Friendly Cities and Communities and the Santa Clara County Age Friendly Silicon Valley .

    Schedule and Benefits: This is a part-time position, on average between 15-20 hours per week, not to exceed 999 hours in a fiscal year (July 1 - June 30), with occasional evening and weekend hours to support program activities. This position pays into Social Security, participates in Medicare, and is entitled to five sick days annually per the California Paid Sick Leave. This position is not entitled to other benefits. This position may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Experience: Two years of analytical and professional experience involving analysis, report preparation, and administrative or operational support.

    Education: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Project management, government background, and a master’s degree in public administration are preferred but not required.

    License: Possession of a valid Class C California driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and proof of insurance in compliance with the Town’s Vehicle Insurance Policy standards may be required for some assignments or responsibilities.
