  • Job Description

    Become a member the 131st Civil Engineer Squadron (Missouri Air National Guard) as a Civilian Employee of the State of Missouri. Maintain a beautiful facility campus in the Jefferson Barracks National Historic District and support an exemplary military unit fulfilling State and Federal military missions.

    J o b L o ca ti on: Jefferson Barracks Air National Guard Station, 29 Sherman Avenue, St Louis, Missouri 63125

    • Manage Master Cooperative Agreements with the National Guard Bureau, including but not limited to Appendix 1021 (Facilities Operations & Maintenance) and Appendix 1022 (Environmental Compliance).

    • Ensure compliance with Federal, State, U.S. Air Force, and Air National Guard fiscal rules and procedures.

    • Track utility consumption and accomplish payments for utility consumption. Process payments quickly and identify billing mistakes to ensure timely payment.

    • Assist the Program Manager (Base Civil Engineer) in all matters relating to the Master Cooperative Agreements, including coordination of communications internally and externally, and in representing the 131st Civil Engineer Squadron in all matters pertaining to Master Cooperative Agreements and State Resources tracking, auditing, and inspection.

    • Accountable for overseeing and coordinating general activities to support the missions of the 131st Civil Engineer Squadron, including but not limited to accounting, clerical, printing and mail services, administrative, and other business support activities ensuring the timely, accurate, and efficient flow of work and funds.

    • Accountable for a variety of support functions such as expenditure control, accounting, maintenance of files and records.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Knowledge of the principles and practices of office management and/or supervision; ability to mentor, coach, and develop skills of staff. (Note this is not a direct supervisory position.)

    • Knowledge of a variety of support service functions, and rules and regulations related to those areas; ability to oversee and coordinate support operations to attain work objectives.

    • Knowledge of or ability to work with Microsoft Excel and Word, as well as be able to travel approximately once per year for additional training.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 4-6 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor’s degree and 0-2 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)

    • Ability to coordinate with Missouri National Guard Headquarters and Air National Guard headquarters financial and human resources staffs.

    • Business acumen and documentation skills to forecast and track financial resource requirements.
