Fire & Safety Assistant
Eastern Missouri Psychiatric Hospital Systems
Hawthorn Children’s Psychiatric Hospital & St. Louis Forensic Treatment Center - North & South
Salary: $17.97 per hour
Scheduled Hours: Flexible Schedule (19 hours per week * 38 hours per pay period)
Hawthorn and the Forensic Treatment Centers provide specialized care for clients diagnosed with mental illness. We are looking for a part-time (PRN) Fire Safety Assistant to ensure that our facility, including clients and staff, remain safe.
Responsibilities :- Assist the EMD, Fire & Life Safety
- Conduct Fire and Disaster Drills
- Facility Fire Inspections
- Facility Fire and Disaster Education
- Ensuring facilities are compliant with AJH
- Disaster preparedness
- Ensuring the safety of all staff, clients, vendors, visitors, volunteers and contractors on facility properties
Eligibility :- Must have prior knowledge and experience with NFPA Fire Codes and other AHJ compliance regulations
- Must have a minimum of NIMS 100, 200, 700 and 800
- Prior experience with firefighting a plus
- Prior experience with Emergency Management a plus
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk stoop, bend and lift
