Job Summary Under the general direction of the Director of IT Enterprise Operations, this position leads and manages Enterprise Operations group. This group provides Tier 2 support, application administration, deployment, monitoring, and sustaining engineering support for critical campus-wide applications and technology services. Key technologies and service areas supported include PeopleSoft ERP (Common Management System), Perceptive Content document management, Oracle and MySQL database hosting, data warehousing, Oracle Analytics Cloud, uPortal, Shibboleth single sign-on, and the broader set of Identity and Access Management systems. The Manager of Enterprise Operations is tasked with developing staff and creating and promoting an environment that fosters collaboration, communication, and continual improvement.
This position is eligible for remote work pursuant to Cal Poly’s Telecommuting and Remote Work Guidelines and the CSU policy requiring that all work be performed within the State of California. Department Summary Information Technology Services (ITS) is a fast-moving team that is responsible for helping Cal Poly achieve academic excellence through developing and implementing learning, teaching, and administrative solutions which leverage technology that align with strategic goals and objectives. Key Qualifications - Demonstrated expertise in building and leading an effective IT operations team by providing work direction, service level monitoring, incident resolution, performing appropriate escalations, and through continuous service improvement.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing enterprise-scale technologies such as CRM, ERP, data warehouse, database management, identity and access management, data integration platforms, collaboration, document imaging, and workflow management systems.
- Knowledge and practice of the principles of at least one of the following: ITIL, Lean Six Sigma, DevOps, or Agile.
- Demonstrated skill in maintaining high quality/standards of work, initiative, ethics, commitment, and professional responsibility and judgment. Ability to represent the university in a professional and conscientious manner.
- Demonstrated skill in reviewing and acting upon complex individual and organizational problems and making recommendations to influence change in technology policies.
Education and Experience - Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of progressively responsible management and/or supervisory experience in enterprise IT service management, software engineering, technology support, or related field.
Salary and Benefits The anticipated hiring range for this role is $135,000-$165,200 Per Year. Note that the offer is calculated based on the background and relevant years of experience of the individual selected.
