    • Manage the Department's social media platforms and online presence.
    • Create/manage graphic design projects and marketing campaigns consistent with department goals.
    • Create/edit Department publications and outreach materials.
    • Curate internal newsletter and an external eblast.
    • Assist with photography and videography projects.
    • Assist with activities during the Missouri State Fair.
    • Assist with planning of Department events and activities.
    • Activate crisis communications plans during agriculture emergencies.
    • Website development and maintenance.
    • Provide program intern(s) direction throughout the year.
    • Other duties as assigned.


    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Six (6) or more years of technically relevant experience in journalism, communications, public relations or a closely related field. Experience can come from a combination of direct work experience and/or completion of a bachelor’s degree program in journalism, communications, public relations or a closely related field.
    • Valid Missouri Driver’s License


    Preferred Qualifications:

    Competency with all major graphic design platforms, video and social media platforms, including Adobe Suite and Premier Pro video editing software. Well-honed verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external stakeholders. Prior agriculture background or knowledge.
