    Responsibilities

    What you'll be doing:
    • Reviewing and analyzing felony case filing materials, including examining evidence, witness statements, the nature of the crime, and determining whether the evidence supports continued prosecution. This includes making independent filing decisions.
    • Conducting legal research, preparing reports, and developing recommendations to enhance District Attorney’s Office policies, procedures, and operations.
    • Intake work, but may represent the office in felony-level criminal calendar proceedings, including the scheduling of cases, plea negotiations, probation revocation hearings, motions, and sentencings.
    • Acting as the prosecuting attorney in both jury and court trials, ensuring justice is served through thorough preparation and effective litigation.
