    This position within LAWA’s Airport Affairs Group will handle all administrative activities for the Chief of Staff, utilizing technical admin expertise while joining a dynamic team.

    MUST meet minimum bulletin qualifications:

    Two years of full-time paid experience in a class at the level of Secretary performing all the following secretarial work: routing calls to the appropriate person or location; maintaining appointment calendars; arranging appointments and meetings; preparing for and setting up meetings; taking minutes of meetings; reviewing and editing documents; reading, routing, and tracking incoming and outgoing correspondence; and composing routine correspondence.

    Emergency Appointment

    An emergency appointment is not a regular appointment. It is a temporary appointment which does not require that you successfully compete in the Civil Service examination process. The appointment may not exceed one year and must be terminated immediately when a regular appointment can be made from an eligible list. No emergency appointment can exceed one year. (City Charter Section 1013).
